PET, which stands for polyethylene terephthalate, is a form of polyester. Indonesia has a growing utilization in plastics for industirial and consumer usage. Production process of PET bottle flakes
Supplier sorts post-consumer PET bottle into different colour fractions: transparent or uncoloured PET, blue and green coloured PET, and the remainder into a mixed colours fraction. After that, supplier crushed & pressed the sorted post-consumer PET into bales. Lastly, supplier offer it to recycling PET bottle companies.
However, recycling company / manufacturer need to process the PET bottle further. Firstly, PET flakes manufacturer / company need to crush the bottles into small pieces. After that, manufacturer / factory removed the PET bottle residues such as plastic, caps, labels, etc. Manufacturer did this to remove impurities from the impurities from the bottle flakes.
